Do You Read Me? Bookstores Around The World

I walked into my local bookstore to pick up a book I ordered when Do You Read Me? grabbed my attention from the display shelf. I picked it up and immediately paid for it without a moment's hesitation! I am a sucker for books about books and bookstores, and this is a wonderful compendium of gorgeous bookstores from around the world. It's a heavy book, chock full of bookshop interior photos and commentary from both the editors and the booksellers. Some of the bookstores are located in converted buildings (a beautiful old church or theater) or are notable for their size (a full city block), their unique collections, or their community involvement. Do You Read Me? is wonderfully readable, and makes a great coffee table book as well. I have savored every page, and bought an additional copy for a bibliophile aunt of mine. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 on Goodreads. Hardcover 272 pages. Link to Amazon below, but I suggest buying all book from your local bookstore of course!
By the way, I also recommend the documentary called The Booksellers which you can watch for free if you are an Amazon Prime member. It's all about the rare book world of New York City. Though I am not much of a rare book collector, I still enjoyed it. it's especially fun to hear Fran Lebowitz's commentary!
Also I wanted to say, please feel free to leave a comment. I'd love to hear about the books you are enjoying! Take care and stay well, Gaili
