Gaili Schoen
The Authenticity Project

Julian is a 79-year-old retired artist who feels lonely and disconnected from life. He writes frankly about his woes in a notebook which he titles The Authenticity Project and leaves it in a cafe so that others can add their authentic feelings and experiences. This story is about the successive people who find and write in the book, and how their lives become intertwined. Each participant in the project writes honestly about her/his feelings and ends up receiving the support they need to heal and rebuild their lives. This is an intelligent and enjoyable story for readers of all ages, genders and professions. I read the story on my Kindle, and also listened to it as I was baking and cleaning my house. I find that when I am listening to a book, I am only too happy to keep tidying up! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 stars in our goodreads RipeReads group (RipeReads reviews books featuring characters over 50)
