Elizabeth Berg created a wonderful trilogy of books which she calls The Mason Series as they take place in Mason, Missouri. I think that I loved The Confession Club (#3) the best, and you don't need to have read The Story of Arthur Truluv (#1) and Night of Miracles (#2) in order to understand and enjoy The Confession Club. But do read them all, you won't regret it! These are stories of intergenerational love and friendship featuring mature adults in their pain, their wisdom, their vitality and their need for deep connections with loved ones.
